I gather fragments from worlds built to be temporary—spaces I have spent years constructing as an art director and stylist. My work unfolds in the space surrounding the image, drawing equally from the anticipation of its making and the traces it leaves behind. These fleeting worlds are carried beyond the image they were once part of.

Through layers of Venetian plaster, paint, drawing and etched marks, ephemeral arrangements of objects, materials and memories are transformed into tactile compositions that hover between recognition and imagination. Repetition of gesture and detail creates a rhythm of making, while each layer invites variation. Marvelous mistakes are incorporated rather than corrected, becoming essential to the work’s transformation.

These spaces become stages for reinvention—an ode to second lives.

I received my BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where I worked under Jerry Saltz, Diana Cooper, Lynda Benglis, and Alice Aycock. Being part of Louise Bourgeois’ Sunday Salons and one-on-one residency with Ursula Von Rydingsvard have shaped my sensibility as an artist, among other things. My work has been shown in the United States and internationally, and I have been fortunate to receive a number of awards and residencies.

I work on wood or canvas using layers of Venetian plaster, further manipulated through etching, painting and drawing. Works are available in circular, squqre or rectangular formats in a range of sizes, and can also be commissioned as large-scale, site-specific murals painted directly onto walls, where the traces of process shift into a surreal, unexpectedly monumental presence.
